Fuck my life.
Heerlijk. Go watch.
Win!
“A British mystery author visits her publisher’s home in the South of France, where her interaction with his unusual daughter sets off some touchy dynamics.”
Swimming Pool is a 2003 arthouse flick staring my new favorite French girl Ludivine Sagnier. Sarah seems narrow minded and withdrawn, Julie is a sexual active and wild girl. At first their relation encounters a lot of friction but as time passes the two gain a weird fascination for each other (Sarah likes to watch how Julie fucks people). A bit slow but with a roller coaster ending and a pair of the most interesting titties in cinematographic history. Play.
“A law student comes to California for the summer and ends up playing professional volleyball.”
Side Out is a horrible movie. Poor storyline, the acting sucks and there aren’t much action shots (this is a sports movie). But the hotties, beachy vibe, pre-hipster use of neon and soundtrack make up for all of this. It’s that movie you can just watch over and over again. It’s all about the Good Life! Play.
“A high school student relies on the school’s rumor mill to advance her social and financial standing.”
A young Emma Stone (the chick from Zombieland) is sarcastically funny in Easy A. Instead of building on her high school reputation she explores destroying hers completely. Dan Humphrey playing her love interest is (as always) annoying as hell but that doesn’t stop this from being awesome. Cool ‘social medias’ storytellin’ andsome awesome references to Sixteen Candles, Ferris Bueller and whatnot 80′s classic included. Play.
I finally got a change to see Catfish, yeah that other movie about Facebook. I expected nothing but it was really intrueging.
Story: Some second generation douchebag NYC filmschool hipsters (you know the kind that discovered American Appy in 2008 and not 2006) make friends with a family online. When in the neighborhood they decide to go pay a visit, but not everything is exactly what they expected (trailer).
Now the movie is interesting, the questions that it raises are more. The documentary style filming and goofness of the Punjab brother filmmakers really ad to a story that really exposes the pro’s, con’s, opportunities and threats of the ‘social’ internet.
What’s real and what’s not? What does your profile say about who you are? How much value can you subscribe to an online relation? How real are online contacts anyways? And who should you cybersex wiv and who not? Interesting stuff.
Best no-budget movie to come out in a while.. Go see this!
Last night The Walking Dead premiered in the States meaning I downloaded it first thing this morning. I’ve been lookin’ forward to this since the series has everything I could dream of: zombies, a good story line (I read the first part of the comic), budget, more zombies and the right director for the job.
So, how was it? The story tells is about Rick who one day wakes up in the hospital after being shot. When he climbs out of his bed he finds a world of dead and, well, dead but not so dead people. He needs to cope with this changed world in his hospital PJ’s whilst suffering a nasty bullet wound.
The Walking Dead as a series stays very true to the comic. Good thing ’cause the comic is brilliant. Here and there they slightly changed some plot details but it’s not even mentionable. And they’re only there to make the story more logical and rich.
The screenplay, casting (so far) and edit seem top notch, movie quality as Boardwalk Empire is movie quality, not as Lost is. I was blown away by it, it’s really sinister and surreal, yet very punctuated with normal behavior and well developed characters. Another thing I loved where the zombies themselves as they seem very real. That’s thanks to the makeup, but also to the fact the director’s zombie game can’t be fucked with.
This is a must follow. Without a doubt the best thing that happened to televisionThe Pirate Bay this year. Fuck, walking dead, yeah!
Some pictures from Berlin. We kinda forgot to take pictures of the trade show itself or everything that happened after the day we touched down on Berliner soil. Sorry! But day eins we documented kinda well so here is a little report. Thanks to Joey for the invite and a shout out to everybody I met thurr and was around.
This is what Joey looks like while working (the girl is his partner in crime, kinda furgut your name sweet, sorry). Pretty notch right? The area is the ‘Playground Area’ where we kinda basically sorta hung around. Mayer Hawthorne (very nice) and beautiful petite Janelle Monae (kinda nice but zero interaction with her audience) performed and there was a pool. Like!
So this geezer decided it was time for a ‘signature outfit’, what meant he was rocking one of his fifteen pieced collection of fine grey shirts for three fucking days. I sorta guess it was a statement against the fast pace commercial fashionista world he was in and wanted so desperately rage against. You fight your fight young trooper!
I’m a sinner and will go straight to hell. Normally I don’t really do pork meat but Currywurst is so fuckin disgusting that’s it’s very satisfying to eat at the same time. Yes all the red is curry, under the curry is the wurst.
BBB party equals free BBQ & booze & party & bullshit & the police turning up to shut it down & nobody giving a shit about the police turning up and shutting it down & continuing the party & at least 50 peeps from Amsterdam dancing to a Flexican Beat & more bullshit. I loved it.
The men your man could smell like.
Yeah I was drunk, but so was Henno and everybody else. Good times. Don’t wait for day 2! Bless.
